Hi Amrinder,

As a general rule, we would not approve a change if it is already constructed, and there exists no real concrete way of adjusting it. We would recommend that the exterior is finished as proposed, with masonry on the columns - but we cannot comment on any resolution which may occur at the inspection stage. It will be noted that the construction of an alternate design was initiated prior to review and approval. We will share all relevant communication with the developer at that time.

Architectural Approvals Status Set to: Revision Request


At first, the plans that were approved had a full deck and everything was passed accordingly. However, this house is presold, and our client is not willing to pay extra for any upgrades. Therefore, we had to build the standard deck size that we provide, which is 10 by 12. We have updated the plot plan, paid all the required charges, and submitted the changes to the city.

We have already constructed the deck and completed the roof; shingles have also been installed. We will complete the masonry on the deck columns and can change the siding color at the back if required. But at this stage, the 10x12 deck and the new roof line as per the revised drawings are already built.

Kindly grant us permission for this change. We will be really thankful. I have attached pictures for your reference.
